POST TUESDAY

hey there! this page is a small collection of tdbits about my weird sci-fi post apocolyptic setting that i use for stuff! this page contains some of the more surface level lore.

Lore : Tuesday

January 1st 2047. For the past 13 years tensions have been building between loyalist and separatist Russia, to the point where all of earth is in a third cold war. At 3:33 am a beam of light shot out from the sawtooth national forest in utah. Later that same day the US, Russian, and many other governments collapsed as the biblical rapture had seemingly happened, as angels and demons walked the earth. Death, destruction, and the devastation of civilization followed. This event is now known simply by the day of the week it happened on, Tuesday.

Lore : Nevada

Somewhere in the far orbit of mars there exists a space station, collectively built by the entire state of nevada as Tuesday had begun, in an attempt to save themselves from the end of the world, the propulsion and life support for the space station into the ground below them. Eventually a year into rapture, Nevada was propelled into space leaving a pit, miles deep in its place. Far closer to the current year and Nevada was the first place to invent cloning, selling of clones as slaves, or parts of clones as merchandise and food. Nevada now has the most strict immigration policy in the galaxy, and are extremely racist toward anything not purely human cyborg or robot and it is a well known fact that space nevada commonly does not punish citizens for killing angel, demon, or alien born visitors no matter what percent of the victim is human dna.

Lore : The Figurative Death Of Humanity

Within what's left of the world, there is almost nothing that still resembles what one would view as human. During and after Rapture angels and demons for lack of a better euphemism, Intermingled with the general populace of earth, both human and not, and surprisingly fast within only a few years humans that were not in some way angelic, or demonic or both, became rare. By 2056 there only existed 3 pure humans on earth. Making the species dying out inevitable.

Lore : Purgatory

7 years into the rapture angels and demons realized the futility of the war, with their masters dead angels and demons had no reason to fight, reaching peace and eventually forming the city of Purgatory within the pit left behind by Nevada, purgatory now stands as one of the few bastions of civilization in a post-Tuesday america.

Lore : Cool City

After the events of Tuesday and the big drought the east coast was left mostly inhabited by bandits and dead bodies, except for one beacon of hope, Cool City built on the remains of Nashville Tennessee, Cool City is one of the few places on the east side of the Americas left with any major supply of water. this is not to say it was in any way ideal, as the ruling decisions of the Elevator Man are questionable at best...

Lore : The Basilisk Act.

the B.A.S.I.L.I.S.K. act guarantees all newly decommissioned AI the legal right and freedom to request a mechanical body and citizenship at no cost to themselves upon their decommissioning, while made for the decommissioning of a nuclear weapons ai it now applies to all sentient ai giving opportunities for anything from a car gps, to a sports field, the ability to become a member of society with full legal rights and an almost fully functional body, including features that let them experience all basic human rights, ranging from property ownership, to the right to love. This rule was put in place to prevent the US's nuclear missile ai from causing a third world war upon its decommissioning, as it had bonded with an employee and refused to leave its position due to its attachment, the ai later within its new robotic body married and adopted multiple children with the aforementioned employee.
